Surviving Cold & Flu Season

During this time of year, patients often ask, "Should I get the flu shot?" I always reply, "Let's focus on keeping you healthy, so that no matter what, your immune system will remain resilient."

Here are a few tips for staying healthy this flu season:

Cut Back on Sugar: I love Halloween, but if the candies and treats aren't at home, I won't be tempted to indulge in them.

Drink Herbal Tea: One of my mentors recommends drinking 3-4 cups of green tea daily to help ward off illness.

Exercise: Beyond aiding weight loss, regular exercise promotes blood circulation, boosts metabolism, strengthens immunity, detoxifies the body, and enhances mental health. Start slowly and gradually increase your activity.

Choose Real Food: Take a look at your pantry and freezer. Are they filled with processed foods and quick-fix meals? How often do you eat out? Prioritizing whole foods can make a significant difference in your health.

Acupuncture Tune-Up Treatments: Just as you take your car for an oil change, your body deserves some TLC. If you haven’t visited the clinic in the last three months, let’s get you back on track.

Herbal Check-Ups: Unsure about the herbs you purchased from us? Give us a call at 909-590-4183, and we can review them together to see which ones align with your current symptoms and health needs.

Stay proactive this flu season and prioritize your health!
